this is getting ridiculous. it seems to me any of these tractors will do what I need done (maintain 40 acres of very hilly terrain with rocks, etc, loader work, etc).....cannot seem to pull the trigger and decide which one:confused:, as all seem to have advantages, I know there are folks here who would support all of the above, anyone having any specific info on or opinions I'd appreciate, would likely get GST shuttle model 4wd of course, thanks........

does the L4400 come in GST, too? if it were me deciding I would choose between the 3940 and L4400. while the L4400 has more hp, i've heard owners mention it's 3 point lift capacity isnt that much. not sure what the 3940's is. you do have a tough decision to make as they are all fine tractors. at least i've eliminated one from the equation and left you with 2 to choose from.:D

thanks; yes, they are all good, too good for me to decide. I belive the L4400 does not have the GST available, HST or straight gear only. If I can swing the cash I believe I'll wind up going after the L3940 GST, if not, the L4400 gear. Barlow has a great deal right now IMHO on the L3240 w qa loader, and other goodies however..........

I have the 3240, with hills rock ands wet areas and i am very happy! If you are going with the ag tires I would not bother with the bigger loader. I have found that a full bucket with my 514 loader is just about enough if I am taking it very far over my terrain. Loaded tires help me get around and with over 200 hard hours I could not be happier. Having the 4 cylinder and the extra 300 pounds of the 3940 might be nice but depending on the work I doubt it is a must. Just pick the one that says yes to you when you try it out.

I work my 3940 very hard. The 724 FEL with loaded R4 tires is a great combo. Like most guys, I would like more HP, but it's not necessary for the work I do. Check out my implements below. Each is used on a regular basis. Of course the PRD8400 finish cutter gets the most use during the summer months.

Pm the member JohnThomas look on the Kubota forums. I believe the 3240 is one he just traded in. My advice is to buy as much tractor as you can afford. Unless you need something small for weight, or manuverablility. Usually more Hp translates into greater speed/efficiency at performing the same tasks.
