Looking for a tiller for my 3316 HST. Wondering what brands you guys have experience with and what width a 3316 can comfortably handle.

Any where from 60" to 72" and have sold Howse, and Delmorino brands and have had good luck with both. Mahindra/Kodiak have a reasonably priced unit with the Mahindra label and they tell me they are gear driven instead of chain driven.

Joel, I use a 58" one that came from CCM. I have NO problems turning it and am sure that I could have gone wider. Might have been nice to have one 66" wide, but this one works good for me.

I have a 60" woods that I pull with a 2615 and she handles it with no problem. I would think you would have no problem with a 72". As to brand mine came with the tractor used so I didn't do any research on different brands. I have a couple of buddies that have been looking for used tillers and they are hard to come by in my neck of the woods.

My dealer sells the Fort First Choice line and the Mahindras. Local TSC has some too. Any feedback on these brands?
I have a 90" First Choice that I bought years ago. Only complaint on it is it won't till but about 7" deep.

If you want to till deeper than 7", then you are going to spend some $$$$. CCM has some that will till a bit deeper, but I don't think that you are going to have much luck using the 3316. :(

Raise the skids all the way, and tilt it forward with the top link a bit. It will till deeper with subsequent passes. I had the same complaint before I did this.

Just keep in mind it will be more aggressive so your first passes should be slow and low rpms until the ground is broken up.
