With the tractor parked in my shed I noticed a spot of oil on the floor . The tractor is leaking hydraulic oil . Not a big leak , just a few drops now and then and is leaking from the transmission I think it is called . The area on the left side above where the filter pipe goes into the transmission is wet . It is also leaking on the right side of the transmission but not as much . Both sides are wet and is not leaking enough to tell where it is comming from . Is there a place where I can get a service manual or a parts diagram of the area leaking ?

I cleaned the area on both sides with brake cleaner and a brush . I then wiped it clean with a piece of cloth . Several hours later I could see that the oil is coming out between the hub and transmission . I guess the gasket has failed or the bolts holding it together may be slack . The hub on the left side is leaking worse than the right side . Does anyone know what the torque settings is for the bolts ? Is it a big job to replace the gasket ?

Seal - tell me the size of the bolt and I can relate to you the torque.

Thanks arrow . I tried a 9/16 wrench on the bolt by the leak and it seems to fit ok . A 14 mm wrench also fit ok . The leaks are both on the front part of the hub with the left side leaking the most .

More than likely its a metric. 9/16 fits because 9/16 = 14.2 mm. Bolt heads vary in size slightly. A 14 mm standard 5D bolt will be 55 ft lbs. If its an 8G bolt, that's 89ft lbs. If its a 10K bolt, that's 117 ft lbs. The metrics have their grade stampings expressed as numbrs on the bolt head.
