336d eight lug rear wheel

Noticed some of the 336d have 6 lug rear wheel.ours has eight .is this common

We have seen that 8 bolt axle a few times and we have an 8 bolt YM336 parts tractor. It has always been on the YM336 U-haul rental tractors though. I know the Uhaul tractors had a special clutch conversion and I'm not sure if an 8 bolt axle was always part of the U-haul conversion or if that was just coincidence.
