I have heard that they are good machines. I would think somebody here would comment. Seems like some pretty smart folks here. Hope you can get some help.

Hello and welcome to TBN! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

And welcome to you too, txoutlaw! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

There's a lot of information in the Mahindra forum concerning the 3510's. If you read through this thread , I'm sure you'll find some useful information.

You should also do a search of the Mahindra forum using the search feature at the top of the page. Make sure that you change the Date Range to All Posts , otherwise it will only search for posts newer than 1 week.

Good luck, and we look forward to your future contributions. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Pros,
massive machine, it will fill the bucket with loose stuff no problem and hard packed stuff with a little stick work.
I have been scraping topsoil and if I take about 4-6 inches a pass and work the boom up by a 1/2 inch or so while moving forward, until it fills the bucket.
It will lift it to full height no problem with a over full bucket of damp topsoil.
Easy on easy off of the tractor.
Lots of weight to the tractor, good traction with the r4's. Plenty of power.

Cons,
Hard to see what you are doing with the bucket, that is not really a Mahindra only problem though. All tractor loaders are like that, but the seat sits low and IMHO compounds it some.
The turnbuckles for the 3pt are real close to the tires, you HAVE to run with the rubber holding the arms together if you dont have a implement on.

Neither here nor there,
The 12x12 gears with SS take a little getting used to. I found myself going the wrong way in the wrong gear about 1/2 the time when I first brought it home.
If you are a bigger guy, you will find that in low range 2nd gear, your legs will touch the gear shift and range selector. I have knocked it out of low range with my thigh when I was twisted around doing something or another.
The loader is slow, but you can fill it fast. If you have run construction type equipment you will notice it some. I have run construction eq, and it really hasnt been a factor. I think it is a good balance of speed and power. I normally keep the RPM's at around 12-1400.
LOAD THE REAR TIRES, that is a lot of loader out in front of you, you need weight in the back. I normally have a carryall or backblade or single bottom plow on when I am working it. Neither of them has enough weight to counter the loader. Loading the tires will NOT compleatly counter the loader either, but it sure does help a lot.
You will get used to the loader as you use it, I wouldnt want to tie a rag to a tooth and clean windows, yet, but I'm getting better with it.
Get a tooth bar.
Get a chain hook welded in the middle of the bucket.
If you have ever run a tractor loader without a shuttle shift, you will like it. Its sweet.

I still have less than 50 hours on it. Most of that is loader work. I plowed up a log landing that was made of rip rap and moved it to places I wanted to fill, slow work but the tractor did it without to much trouble. If I can get some dry weather I can get most of my dirt moved and then get it out in the woods pulling tree tops.

So far I like it and am happy with the purchase.

A few extra "CONS"
The tractor is VERY difficult to fill with fuel. You could loose your religon during the refuel process.
The seat is fairly poor.
The owners manual is weak, and there is little other documentation I have found.

Below is a copy of a reply I gave to another post it might help you - The 3510 (35HP) and the 4110 (41HP) are the same frame tractor-just with smaller engine, one thing that makes life alot easier with any tractor is a good dealer, which I have:

My First and current Tractor is a Mahindra 4110 with FEL, bought it used with 350 hrs and a transferable (up in Jan. 05) warranty - 435 hrs on it now, one time major warranty repair was a new pto shaft- company fixed under warranty even though it was more operator error then tractor defect. I Have Horse's and 31 acres of rocky and forest land and has done everything I needed it to do, including Removing a hill on the side of my house and filling in a pond with the dirt, I have pushed over small trees (6-8 in) roots and all,( the tractors weight give it more power then I expected), and have actually done some hay at my neighbor's farm when his machine broke down ( I buy my hay from him). plus the everyday manure and fence posts chores. I do not regret buying this tractor, it has made my life easier, because I was doing a lot of the above by hand for the last 7 years (since starting with Horse's). My dealers current price for the 4110 with loader is $18500.00 Good luck shopping
P.S. Forgot to mention pulling down logs from the mountain for firewood

What is the issue with refueling? Is the tank in a different location than on my 2810? I've traded (temporarily) with a friend for his NH TC35 & the tank is behind the seat as well. I actually prefered that design rather than filling over the hood as I have seen on other brands.

The only issue I have found with fueling is the screen in the tank. I just fill slower. I have considered putting a screen on the nozzle running from the pump in the oil tank and pulling the screen in the tank. If I did that I could pump faster.

The tank is pretty high, but I just stand on whatever implement I have on and pump away.

The owners manuel is in pretty poorly translated Korean /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif But is about on a par with any other owners manuel I have seen.

The fuel tank location itself is not the problem. Yes, you have to stand on something to reach the tank (unless you're Wilt Chamberlain). The real problem is that you have to fill it up REAL SLOW or it will "girgle" back on you. It takes a LONG TIME to fill it up. If you are holding a 5 gallon can, it can be a real pain. I have been removing the plastic filter, and that helps alot. Otherwise, I would spill more than I get in the tank.
Regarding the manual, it is not just the translation, it is incomplete in comparison to Massey, New Holland, and John Deere manuals. You have to admit, the pictures and drawings are very crude. The rear hydraulic remote lever is not even mentioned in the manual. I can't even recall fluid specifications being in there?? (It might be)

I doubt the screen in needed. The mesh is not too fine & I would keep particles from getting into the can in the first place. The can I use is a self-venting type & it fills a little on the slow side so the screen doesn't bother. The tank on the 2810 is only 7.9 gals. so I'm only using one 5 gal. can when I top it off & it only takes about 2 min. or so. The manual is translated ok, enough so I can understand it. I used it when I did the 50 hour service & it was easy. Maybe the manual on other models is worse. Overall I'm still very pleased with the tractor & I would consider the brand again, should I need to move up a size.
