I went to grease my new 3520 after 10hrs of use. I found the grese fittings on the left and right side of the tie rod but there was not one for either of the Cylinder joints. In the owners manual they show them as being there. What should I do?

Is there a small plug where a zerk should be?

I found this last year on my 4520. Some cylinders have, and some do not have, grease zerks(I suspect two different suppliers) . There is no hole, nor a boss that wasn't drilled out. I asked at dealer and got a "gee, I don't know" answer. At the time there was nothing in DTAC. I don't know if that has changed or not. After that, I wrote to JD via the support web site and got a "you need to contact your dealer" response. Someone else want to take a stab at it and let us know if the situation has changed?

I am slightly concerned as that area is subject to some of the harshest climate on the tractor. The position of the joint says to me it needs to be greased. I am planning that as soon as the warranty is out, I will disassemble the joint and add a zerk.

I'd get the dealer to ask the regional manager to contact Deere's Engineering group.
I expect you'll find the manuals are out of date and those zerks were eliminated by use of a permanently lubricated fitting (which, of course, are never permanent and cost more to replace).
But one never knows...there could have been a lot manufactured that missed a series of operations. It can't hurt to confirm this, so be nicely insistent.

The "Gee, I don't know" wasn't a good answer on the dealer's part.

Talked with the dealer and he said the manual was old and that they are now packed with grease and I should not have a problem. So I don't know.
