Hey everyone:
I definitely need your help on this one. Shut off the tractor and went in to have lunch, came back out & it's dead (almost). The only thing that happens when I turn on the switch is the fuel solenoid opens. No instruments, no lights/flashers, no nothing! There's power to the fuse block, all the fuses are good, battery voltage is 13 volts but nothing else works. It makes no sense at all, the lights don't run through the ignition switch so why would they not be working? Unfortunately It is sitting in the middle of the back yard (where I can't even get a trailer near it!) and it's supposed to pour all day tomorrow so I won't even be able to work on it tomorrow.
The mechanic at my dealership said that there are 2 fusable links in the system (one for the intake air heater and one for everything else) but they shouldn't effect the lights etc without taking down the fuel solenoid too. Plus he can't even tell exactly where they are (except that they are red and there's a butt-ton of red wires under the dash) because he's never had to replace one on a 3520.
I am at a complete loss as to what to do next. The mechanic is going to do some more research and call me back on Friday but I really need to use the machine now.
Has anybody else had something like this happen? Any suggestions?
