lol, its not like that in dirty jersey! I need a 30x45 at least, want a 60x100 and am allowed to build 27x45 :/ Thats what happens in jersey when you apply for permits and they have codes not allowing certain size structures...
Sometimes, as in my case,
Garage cannot be taller than our house
Cannot be larger sq ft than our house foundation, which sucks at only ~1125 sq ft
Cannot be set within 20ft of either road, were on a corner but with almost 3/4 acre, and the house right smack at the front corner of the roads.. the back yard is damed big for nj....
The zoning office was trying to tell me that i was probably going to have to "remove" my two single car barn/garages that were here when we moved in, OR subtract the sq footage of them total from the new garage size, so that all 3 garages have to be 1125 or less sq ft. Screw that, im not sure if i actaully won the argument, because my "new" not yet constructed garage is only going to be able to house one tractor, 2 lawn mower zero turn machines, 2 cars and one of my trucks...
I need something utimately that can hold 3-4 company pickup trucks F150s, F350s and future F550 dump truck, 3 pontiacs, a 04 mustang and my next toy ive wanted for years, a red 99-02 Trans am firebird.
I want shop area room to work, a lift and room to roll in a small jet ski too... just aint gonna happen in this state.
