- John deere 3520
Just as matter of information for John Deere cab tractor owners. I have a 2007 3530 cab tractor with the fuel tank under the left fender and above the tire. The fuel sensor sets on top of the tank inside of a recess that traps water and holds it causing the sensor to be submerged. The old sensor had a spongy foam like packing material as a seal. This failed in the water and caused the fuel gauge to read full at all times. I replaced it and solved the problem. The new sensor is upgraded with a hard shell material as packing. It appears that this with solve the water destroying the sensor. I found out that there is not recall on the failed sensor, just a part upgrade at owner expense unless it fails while under warranty. It is a $165 for the part. This my first out of warranty repair expense.
