I was greasing my tractor today and found one (on a backhoe outrigger) that looked like someone had ground it down at a nice 45 degree bevel... needless to say it won't take grease.

As far as I can tell, it looks like a 8mm x 1.25 thread, but I'm not certain. There's no match at my local TractorSupply - they have 8mm x 1 and the threaded section is longer and the bolt part is considerably larger.

Does anyone know the size of this fitting, and where to get them?

I had to swap one on the tie rod and it was a M6 fitting. I don't know about the backhoe though. It's probably better just to get a grease fitting assortment kit like PapeCAT mentioned. It's always useful to have those around. Also works for O-rings assortments.

Thanks all - I'll get the assortment, but so far I haven't seen one that's got x1.25 thread, so I'll need to get that particular zerk somewhere else.

In case anyone cares, a while back I bought M8x1.25 zerks off of Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GMZ11FG - though when I bought them it was $4.99 for the packet of 10.

These fit many of the zerks (all that I've needed to replace so far) on my 3520h.

(I didn't see any assortments in town or at HF that had the x1.25 thread pitch, and my local Kubota shop didn't have any either - though they did try to sell me M8 (x1.0) "they're the same size!")

In Kubota shop's defense, they are indeed the same size, just not the same thread pitch :D

Looks like a good pack there.

"Sure it's the same size! Just use a hammer, it'll fit!"
