Well you got down to the cause of it pretty fast. That's good. At least it won't be expensive to fix. Also good.
Thanks Slim. From reading around these forums it seems the checklist items in this situation are the PTO switch (because of the interlock), the battery cables, the fuses, and any damaged wires. Also if the forward/reverse pedals aren't right where they should that can also prevent a hydro from starting (there's a neutral position interlock). I'm an electrician but my wife actually suspected a damaged wire after watching me terrorize the buckbrush.
