New here, and soon to be a first time tractor owner

So I have been researching tractors and thought I had decided on a Branson 3520h with backhoe

So I went to the pull trigger.

My question is the tractor has the tires that come on the 40 hp tractors not the smaller ones that come on the 35.

Can the tractor turn them? Why would it have the larger size?

Thoughts?

As a second question it also does not have the joy stick control for FEL. Is that odd as well?

Ok I'll take a shot at this.. It seems to me that my dealer 'North Plains' said that the dealer can pick tires. The tractors from 35-55 hp are the same except for the engines. If you load the tires the higher hp would be able to use the extra weight and thus traction from the larger tires. The 35 and 40 hp engines have about the same power output at normal loads because they are the same size. The 40 hp gets turbo boost and probably more fuel during periods of full hp use. You get slightly larger front tires for the loader on your tractor because of this.
I read on another post that you only get the fender mounted joystick now if you order the diverter valve as well. Not sure about this, so ask your dealer. If you bought from my dealer the Branson assembly facility is only a block away and the tires-wheels are from US so you could probably get different ones if it is important to you.

Something makes me think that H models do not come with the fender mounted joystick.. Not sure where/how I heard this.

OK, here's the scoop. 3520H Tractor should come with the smaller tires regardless of which (type), ag/industrial/turf, 10 series) the dealer ordered, they should all be the smaller size. Me Thinks the dealer you purchased from swapped them out for something different, maybe a previous customer wanted the smaller tires so the dealer swapped them out from the 3520. Not sure what you mean by joystick. Are you meaning the joystick on the fender or up by the valve itself? At this point I don't believe you can get a factory 3rd function for the 3520H. Something to do with the hydro. So you wont have the fender mounted stick. They are working on it though. So at this point I believe all 3520H will come with the joystick up by the loader valve. As far as the tires are concerned, it's suppose to come with the smaller ones but if you have the larger ones and didn't pay the extra charge for them I would just keep them, I don't think they'll take a whole lot more power to turn. Now it just looks like you have a higher hp tractor. AWESOME.

I thought I would update this, I ended up driving both tractors around the yard and felt that the 35hp Hydro with BH just didn't have enough umpfh to turn the larger tires. I ended up purchasing the tractor with the smaller "standard" size tires.

I also got a 3520H with a fender joystick.
