3540 HST Reviews Please

Looking at getting another tractor and run across a 2014 cab 3540hst with 332hrs,just looking for any info. from folks who own them. Thanks

Kind of, sort of relevant and kinda sorta not. I had a really nice L5030HSTC and loved it; was gonna wear it out then get a L5740HSTC as I was a bit of a doubting Thomas on the HST+. The introduction of the L60 Series pushed me to get an L5740HSTC while I could. I was initially underwhelmed by it on the lot and first week of learning to us it and now love it.

We really liked the L3540, but our M8540 lives four miles away and had to have the L5740HSTC here. I'm too old to keep moving tractors between farms.

TripleR thanks for the reply. How this come up is my parents M7040 was stolen so they been using mine and have decided to just sell them mine. I don't do near what I use too so was going to down size but still have compable tractor to pull my 8' pull type shedder and put out bale hay and whatnot. I just need tractor to do chores around the 110acres,even thou it's leased out. Lease guy drops his tractor or has someone shred the place once a year but my yard is around 3acres and have a 10acre patch that we run horses/sheep/steer in. Fixing to rock my driveway and it's pretty long. You prolly can get idea what I'm trying get at. I have also been looking at a used cab Kubota 4060 but I'm not so sure on the regen stuff.

Sorry to hear about the theft, we just put security cameras around our house as did my brother, just can't reach our barn.

I have never driven one, but my wife and I liked the size, I'm not sure it will handle big round bales, I would go with the 4060 as L40s are getting scarce. If you get a Grand L check out Paul Short's site, I just bought some muchimproved steps and he even makes them for the right side.

a kubota l3540 or a mahindra 3540??
i went from a kubota l3940 to a mahindra 3550 and don't regret it at all.
the 3550 will handle 2 rolls of hay with no problem. much heavier built then the kubota

Mahindra 3540 and Kubota 4060 are the two been looking at. I like the stance for these hills here on place on the 3540,not sure but think can widen out the 4060 by flipping rims around. Our Kubota's have been trouble free for 9yrs hard to leave the brand but my brother owns a Mahindra 8560 without any issues for about 4yrs. My dodge dually had the regen I finally deleted it.
