I have a 2011 5035, which is basically the Tier 3 version of the tractor which is now Tier 4 rated and equipped.. Originally, on some of the older 5035's, they had a vendor problem with the fuel line crimps on the lines both going and coming back to the tank. Mine is in that group, and never had a problem so far. Over five years old and pushing 400 hours. The only issue I had with mine was a leak in the loader valve assembly, which required me to tighten the banjo bolt a little, and leak never came back. Some folks complained about the battery terminal getting corroded, but I coated mine with battery terminal wax spray right after I got it and never had a problem. I was at the dealer the other day, and I noticed the cab'd 3550 now has the battery outside the engine compartment down by the right step. I don't know if the non-cab'd is like that, or if they moved it for more Tier4 room or what. Hopefully someone with a 3550 will chime in soon, hang in there... This time of the year most of us are outside running our tractors, not inside at a computer..... I am in the process of maybe buying a 2555 Cab'd HST, but will keep my 5035, too.... :)

Overcooling problem is fixed using a restrictor. It has not gone into limp mode since they reflashed the computer-I am assuming that problem is also corrected. Mine crushed the fuel tank twice, the second time I fixed it myself by reinflating it with compressed air - then I modified the tank with a slight vent hole under the cap, so that won't happen again. I can send you pictures of both mods if you'd like - theoretically mahindra is developing a better cap to fix that problem.

I've used mine pretty hard, it's a stout machine and I think that the bugs are either worked out, or at least documented so you can handle them yourself.

I've got around 450 hours on mine, it's around 2 years old.

Any other questions let me know, I'll do my best to help out. Are you getting a cab or open station?

Don't do it. Although as long as it is running, not leaking and not on fire its a good tractor. So I'm told anyway.

I will second that, mine is back at dealership again over 15 times and Mahrindra doesn't seem to care a whole lot. I gotten no calls back numerous times. just got a call back other day and Brenda left customer service which is the only person to call me back. she had enough she did call me last week to let me know all the others voice boxes are full so you cannot leave a message. Ive had problems with the hydro system from day one and pedals stick, loosing power through the hrdro system and ton of other problems. the one problem they did fix is the brakes, they doubled the pedal pressure via leverage and the brakes work now. now when I park it its where I left it, had it roll a few times. working right now with a new one or better just give me my money back this has been going on since last January 2015
