I have a 3038 with a 3601 loader. The seal on one loader arm cylinder(not bucket cylinders) has failed and the other side is not far behind. Contacted LS dealer. Out of warranty (1 year on attachments) and no parts available through LS. There solution ..buy a new cylinder.

Has anyone else run into this ? What was your remedy?

Thanks

There are places that rebuild cylinders, though I don't know which ones are around you.

I'm not sure if your loader was built by AmerEquip or not, but if you find out who actually manufactured the loader, you may be able to contact them directly and buy a replacement part or cylinder.

There are also aftermarket cylinder options available.

Unfortunately that won't do any good ... NH uses their own loader, parts won't be interchangeable.

LS does make the Boomer 20-50 HP series for NH but they do not use the same loaders as LS. NH orders their tractors from LS pretty much bare bones with no loader, then the purchaser is responsible for buying the options such as telescopic lower links, rear work light, rear remotes, rubber floor mats etc. Pretty sure the NH cylinders will be different from yours because NH uses a different vendor for their loaders.

My local NH dealer was able to find parts and repair the lift cylinders for my DU AL loader on my L355 Kubota. Around $250 per however!! Will be looking at new for other tractors needs in the future.

If it is just seals they are just simple items to repair. If you are mechanically inclined and know of a hydraulics shop close to you get a kit and fix them yourself heck I did a bunch of them on my hoe it's not hard if you have the tools. The hardest part is taking the cylinder apart and that isn't to bad either. If you are not comfortable doing it find a small hydraulics shop it shouldn't be too expensive, IF you don't go to a dealer they are expensive. Well that's my:2cents:!

I have the tools and ability to do it my self. Been a long time since I had to do a seal. I know this is asking for a "guess" but as long as a seal is dimensionally correct, is a seal a seal or do I need a seal produced for that particular cylinder?

Just take it apart and have it with you when you order the new ones. Mine were older seals and were different that the new O-ring type.
