3616 Cab model - First look

Sat in one of these this week at Sunbelt AG expo, nice tractor but terrible seat. Can they not figure out how to put a suspension seat in a 20k CAB tractor? The seat leans real far forward too...just real uncomfortable.

I would have to say that in Mahindra's smaller tractors, the seats are not one of their stronger traits. :( When I bought my 3215, I had the dealer install a suspension seat for a 7520. The stock spring seat just was not going to cut it for me.

We well fed Americans probably weigh more than three typical Indians or Asians.

I bottomed out the so called suspension seats on their larger tractors and I'm just "big boned," as my Momma used to say!! 6ft-5in and 350 lbs of solid, corn fed, table muscle, requires a good seat!

Sam :)

Questions for Dave. Will the 3616 cab or 4510 cab fit under an 8 foot high garage door? I have not been able to find any info on the height of these cab models on Mahindra's web site. Also can you briefly compare the differences in the 3616 and 4510 cab tractors, other than hp and weight? Thanks for participating with this forum.

The 3616 is about 85" tall. I just shipped my 4510 Cab, so I can't measure it. It is certainly taller, but I think it will go under a 8' door. As far as comparing, they are completely different. The 3616 is a Mitsubishi made tractor, medium frame compact (by my definition anyway). The 4510 is a Koren built tractor and what I would call a heavy frame compact. Different animals. Then throw in the new 5010 Cab, and you have yet another choice. In Mahindra-speak, 16 series are Mitsu, 10 series are Korean, most everything else is built in Mahindra's own factories. I guess I could create a word picture and say that a 3616 is a 3/4 ton pickup and a 4510 is a one ton pickup if that makes any sense. I prefer the 3616 if you don't need more than 1650 Lbs front loader capacity.

Dave, thanks for the info. I thought the 3616 would be the most appropriate for my needs. I am considering replacing my Ford 1920, a 33HP tractor, which has taken care of 90% of my needs. Where the 1920 lacks besides a cab is loader work. I understand that the loader and hydraulics on the 3616 are rated slightly higher than the 1920. Thanks, again.
