I’m about to get a new 3620H and when i went to look at it it had the 72” bucket on it, i was surprised at how big
It was.

im going to be maneuvering this machine through the woods.

i can get the smaller bucket on it.

im wondering what people’s advice is for the bucket size?

i do think if i got the 62” bucket it would be more helpful moving through trees

i also can’t think of a situation where the 72” would be more beneficial aside from maybe having to transport a full bucket a long distance

That is a personal decision that you should probably make yourself rather than relying on others who don't know your situation. Myself, I would take the bigger bucket, as I use my bucket a lot, The primary reason I got rid of my old tractor for my new one is because the 5' bucket was too small and it took too long to get things done. I would say though that a 6' bucket is borderline too big for a 35 hp tractor (I don't see a 3620h listed on the Branson site, are you sure it isn't a 3520h?). I would also say that you want your bucket to be wider than your wheels or you will be disappointed in how things work.

My bucket's 67" and my rear wheels are 72" sidewall to sidewall, 70" tread outside to outside. It's not been a problem for me, either in the woods or moving dirt.

3620 is the new 3520. They found 1hp.

I'm leaning towards just getting the 72" .. the only risk is getting thru some trees .. but i did walk around yesterday with a 6ft piece of wood and it seems like it wont be too big an issue.

And yea 3620h is the 2021 model .. bransons site isn't updated, their brochure still says the 3620h has 35hp .. i have no idea if its accurate or not.

Branson Corp .. if you read this, contact me and i'll update your website for you as i hear many people talk about how its outdated both in pictures and information.

Better to send a email to TYM. Someone might actually read it.

I would go with the wider (actually standard) bucket. You may be able to get a narrower bucket, but you can't make the tractor narrower. So if the only way to get through the trees is with a narrow bucket, you may have to plan another way around the trees to get the whole tractor through there. So far I've never had a reason to wish for a narrower bucket than the standard one, but I'm not doing forest work either.

I prefer a bucket that is wider then the tires for most work, dirt or snow.
That said there will be times a narrower one may be handy,
in my case loading my sander in the winter the bucket is longer then the sander :(

That just means you have to hold a funnel under the bucket, right?

No it means that I try and load one side of the bucket heavier then the other.
Going into the sand pile at an angle.
Then what spills I just push around with the bucket.
I have contemplated on making a couple of wings for the bucket to funnel it when dumping,
but it would cost a bit and I have started looking for a used smaller ssqa buck just for loading the sander.
I have to shovel off the engine cover off of sand every load.
