I realize I am the the smartest engineer our there, but why would JD put the rear windshield wiper on the right side? When you look at the inside rear view mirror all you see is wiper box. The mirror needs to be on the right side so you don't hit it getting in and out. But the wiper could go on the left. Anyone else notice this?

Noticed that pronto on my 3520. Still aggravates me. If I adjust it just wrong I can see myself smiling as I'm moving snow all warm and cozy. Scares the heck out of me that wife might see me like that and not believe me anymore when I tell her I'm going to "work" on clearing the drive.:D

Abolutely I've complained to myself a few time with my 3720 cab!! I've been too shy to say anything...only having a tractor about 2 years...who I'm I. It got on my nerves so much, I purchased outside side mirrors and I've forgotten about the useless mirror in the cab.

Well... you're one engineer that's out there using the equipment - instead of just looking at the CAD printouts! :D

(Can't even see the glare on the rear window from the CAD drawings...)

Great point for improvement - maybe there's a Deere rep that actually reads these posts!

Yes, I too noticed that when I got my 3520 brand new at Christmas of '06 and so I took an old aluminum chair tubular frame and built myself a couple of outside mirror arms, with a couple TSC mirrors and I'm happy.

One other thing that really bugged me a lot,...was (and still is) the engine oil "dip-stick". With the loader on, it is a real "chore" to check your oil. The stick is small and extremely difficult to use. Easy enough to get down on hands and knees and snake your arm in to pull the stick out, ...but then just try to get it back in.

If the light isn't right, you need a flash light to find that tiny hole almost hidden in there. Once I wipe that stick, I'll be darned if I want to fish around in there gathering up dirt on the tip before it goes back in!!

Now that was the 2006, 3520 Cab model with loader etc and perhaps they've improved it since? All it would take would be a short dip-stick "tube" coming out and up a foot to make it so much better.

Anyone know if they improved it and if their might now be an add-on tube? I had a JD-4410 prior to this and it had a beautiful long tube right up the side, nice and easy to check the oil every day.

CHEERS and Happy New Year !!

2010 and the mirror is still the same, only good for looking at yourself. Exterior mirrors seem to be the only cure for seeing behind the tractor.

As for the dipstick and the FEL being in the way....still the same also.
