3720 Erropr code 08

Lately I am having an error code 08 pop up often. In the manual, it says, "Description; Throttle sensor" "Problem source;Voltage signal out of range or not calibrated" "Machine Response; No anti-stall function, loss of performance"

I started the tractor, waited a couple seconds and stepped on the forward foot lever then the code came up. It usually goes out after a minutes or so and then starts up again at different times. I am not sure what I was doing just prior to the error code coming up.

I am just puttering around when it comes up. I haven't been able to replicate it consistently. I did dig into a pile of dirt and move dirt around for about 15 minutes and it didn't come up while doing that.

The tractor has 230 hours on it and the warranty is done in 2 weeks. Is there anything easy I could check.

It sounds like your throttle sensor needs adjustment or maybe needs replacement. Item 32 in the diagram is the sensor. You can try to adjust it. The correct way to do it is to check voltage readings while you adjust it but if you mark its position before you attempt to adjust, I would try to loosen the 2 screws and turn it a small amount to left or right to see if problem goes away. If it gets worse, you will know you went the wrong way.

Buy the technical manual. It is a great resource and will show you how to test and calibrate the throttle position sensor using the display panel. Being under warranty perhaps you should let Deere take care of the issue, but either way the manual is a must have.
