I have a John Deere 3720 and did the test for the error code 14. Tested the connector for the proportional valve and found no short and value for the coils are within the range specified in the service manual.
Yet the tractor will not move forward or reverse. Sometimes it moves a few meters, but it always end up stopping and displaying Err 14.
Sadly i was not successful in trying to get the service advisor kit from John Deere, i'm still looking online for a place where i could buy it, but only found counterfeit products and could not find the real one.
I tried to put the dash display in diagnostic mode with the code included in the manual, but could not get mode 2 to work. Mode 1 with the code RLLRLR works and will give version information and basic vehicle information, but mode 2 with the code RLLLRL doesn't seem to work. It should allow to check transmission information and should include the valve parameters, with the high/low current limits and the actual current value read at the output of the controller. Without it, accessing the cables to measure the current will be complicated and accessing the valve itself seems to involve taking apart most of the cab, it don't see how i can get to it otherwise. Buying the JDG1575-20 cable breakout box would help in getting a measurement of the valve current, but again it is not available from John Deere....
Any idea on how to fix this valve current issue is welcome as John Deere is not much help here....
