I keep getting a code 57 message, it happens occassionaly. It has been doing this since i got it in Jan. 07. and it seems to appear more often now. My dealer tells me not to worry about it. He tells me i have a loose connection under the dash and service is not able to find the problem.

Anyone got a clue about this code.

Sorry I can't help. Have had 3720 since April 2007 -- about 60 hrs thus far and haven't seen that code. Those intermittent problems are always buggers to find. Think I'd do what the dealer says (just keep on running it) and lots of times a problem like that will show up as a solid failure eventually which is much easier to diagnose. In addition, you have lots of warranty time left and you are on record reporting the problem.

there is a bulletin out there for the dealer to diagnose
your problem. it's probably in the wiring harness or
a connector.

if it's happening more and more, i guess at some
point you won't be able to drive the tractor, and they'll
have to come and get it and find the problem.

good luck, let us know how it goes

:D

Error code 57 is: "Hystat time out. No response from controller" Got no idea what it means. You need to talk to someone that is more knowledgable than your dealer. It's annoying anytime I get a fault code on my 3520.

Sincerely, Dirt

Bob,
The first thing you need to do is find a new dealer! Being told "not to worry about it" is completely unacceptable! Get it fixed properly NOW while it's warrantied.

I just fired up my 3320 and got the Error 57 displayed: My tractor won't move! Any suggestions?

THANKS

Hiya,

I'm not sure how much help this will be since I have no experience with the new e hydro but I would think that some good old fashion troubleshooting will net something.

!) Tell the tractor it's being naughty. (That works for my 2yo with her toys) :)

2) ignition off, cycle both hydro pedals completely a few tiles slowly, wait a few seconds, try it and see if it goes away.

3) Grovel on the ground under the hydro pedals and make sure nothings disconnected, if not, wiggle the connectors, try it again.

4) Disconnect the neg terminal of the battery and let it sit for at least 30 minutes, that should reset the module, reconnect it and try again.

5) Go back inside and watch one of the football games on today and call your dealer in the morning, I'm out of ideas.

Of course, I know nothing of the specifics of this tractor, these are basic steps I would take.

Hope it helps,

Tom

I tried, but no luck.

Called the dealer at 7:30 this morning, a service guy came out to my home at 9:00 to look at it with no luck. They are going to come back later today, put in on a trailer and take it back to the dealership for diagnosis and repair. I'll keep you posted.

There are specifics on this issue. Your dealer should inquire from JD engineers if they are having problems finding the issue and the usual repairs to error code 57 are not fixing the error code...

According to the JD tech manual there is a connection under the dash causing this problem. The tech manual is very specific on where to look and what to do to fix the problem. It is possible your dealer has done this, but they do need to find the root of the problem.
