I have a 2007 3720 cab tractor with the standard front exhaust. I have never smelled diesel exhaust fumes in the cab until the past few months while running the snow blower and rotary brush to clear the snow off the driveway. At times it is strong enough to make one's eyes burn. Something has changed and I'm not sure what. The roof seal was replaced by the dealer during the first summer of ownership because the A/C was not working well. If I remember correctly there is a slight positive pressure inside the cab when the blower is running which should help prevent fumes from getting into the cab. I tried cleaning the cab filter with compressed air but maybe it should be replaced. I even thought about getting the vertical exhaust pipe kit to see if that would help but decided to ask here first.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

How's the left side door seal at the bottom. Check the seal at the door you get into the machine. See if you have a nice tight seal at the bottom using a piece of paper or something

Hiya,

With the bottom exit exhaust and enough snow the easiest path for the exhaust to take would be under the tractor and exit at the rear via the path you just made. Since the intake for the cab is in the rear, any exhaust that went to the rear would enter the cab.

I had issues with the fumes in the cab and around the tractor if I stepped out. I put on the through the hood pipe and haven't had an issue since.

My 2 cents,

Tom

I'll second the vertical exhaust. The low front exhaust is just a really poor idea IMHO. It is down where it gets swirled around, picked up by the engine fan etc. Move it up to where it gets it away from you and the tractor.

I checked the door seals today with a very thin slice of a plastic material (thinner than paper) and concluded the door seals are good.

So, I will go order the vertical exhaust kit and install it and post the results when completed.

Many thanks to all who responded.

i just looked at my invoice. I ordered it with the machine when i ordered it so i got a discount of 18 percent off the whole machine. So it was 350 bucks on the invoice and then 287 bucks after my discount which included install because of machine setup. So that price you were quoted sounds about right after taxes. Money well spent though. I would talk to someone over there and ask them to at least give you 10 percent off
