Finally cranked on the a/c last week on the 17 3725c for the first time. Felt just like the heat in the winter. I bought one of those diy test and charge cans and it worked great for day. Anyone have any problems with new ac system?. I suspect I have a leak? If unable to fix easily at home then I will take to dealer for warranty. Gets pretty toasty in that cab, but the 3 window ac worked great. Thanks

So I'm confused is your AC working or did the one can just fix it for a bit?
I'm not sure how much these systems hold but I just put 3 cans in IH 7230 and it needs at least one more.
I use mine in the Branson 8050 in the winter to defog the windows AC on and temp 3/4 of the way up so it gets exercised that way.
I've always heard that not using them was the worst thing to do.

Just used mine this afternoon for the first time this season. Worked just fine. Was 90+ F outside when I started, and I was quite comfortable the whole time I was in the cab mowing.

Yes, it worked for a day after using the can. I don’t know if these systems are charged from the factory or typically a dealer set up and I have no idea how long it sat on the dealer lot. I can tell you the ac compressor was not spinning until I shot in the can. I’m willing to invest another $30 for another can, but also don’t want to waste it if I have a leaking seal. This may test the Branson warranty.

That’s what I was hoping for but ended up a little sweaty.

The R134 I picked up at NAPA varied a bunch in price;
one with oil and seal additives and stop leak was $20+,
the ones with just the Freon were $8.
I know that when ours get low it may take a couple of cans for the clutch low pressure switches to make.
Your system should have been filled from the factory, I doubt the dealer would have checked it unless they noticed it not working.
I would holler at my dealer and give him the choice of coming out and servicing it on site or providing you a couple-3 more cans.
It would be a royal pain to have to pay to transport the tractor back to him, I don't know how many miles are involved, or if you can haul it.

I agree with contacting dealer, don’t want to keep band aiding if it’s a compressor or evaporator problem. Come Tuesday I’ll be speaking with dealer early. I do have the ability to haul it but won’t let them know that. It’s a good hour drive. Thanks
