3830hst ohio

I am thinking about buying a new L3830hst. I would like to go to a large dealer with inventory in ohio to look at them. may also be interested in a 3430 not sure I need hst but want fel.
I have 25 acres and it is hilly with a small creek. I am going to plant pumpkins gourds and indian and sweet corn. I have never owned a tractor and like the kubota so far. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
any help would be appreciated.
I did grow some nice 7ft weeds this year just bought land in march 2004

I think you would LOVE that Tractor and loader. I have a 4330 hst with cab and I think there is nothing like it. Personally I would not go lowerin size with your property but that's a personal choice. I up graded from a 600 ford and wow is this better. HST requires more maintance, filter and oil changes but I think it's worth it for the ease of operation. I haven't found a flaw yet......enjoy your shopping teddy

I live in washington court house, ohio .about halfway between Columbus and Cincinati in Fayette county. just wandering what the price was for the cab on the 3430. is it a hard or soft plastic cab. is it removable for summer or way to much trouble. I want a tooth bar, and a 5ft brush hog.

MB, The Grand series of the Kubotas is very popular for your size of land. I started off looking at the 3130 and remember asking the dealer if they can adjust the loader so it will go slower, he just laughed and said everyone else wants the fastest loader they can get. The 3130 through the 5030 have the same basis setup but as you go up in numbers things like hp, wheels, loaders go up in size and capacity. I liked the 3130 and then decided to get the 3830 and then saw that the 4330 had a beefier front end and larger loader. When I got to the dealer I saw the 5030 sitting there calling my name and adopted it. I love the HST, and if this is your first tractor I would suggest getting it especially if you are getting the front end loader. It makes for one less hand movement when maneuvering.

You will also want to start thinking about what you will need to pull and match the tractor to the implements you want. The bigger the tractor the wider the implement. The Dealer or I can tell you the limitation of the size of the implements that the owner's manual list.

I think a cab is around 5k, I just have a canopy to keep the glaring sun off my balding head. It does get dusty sometimes and I wish I had a cab but then I just adjust my mowing to when there is some moister to keep some of the dust down. The cab is hard and will stay on and you do not remove it during the different seasons. It has heat and ac. Check them out at the Dealer's.

I purchased a Curtis softcab for my 3830, which is a hard top and glass windshield, with the optional heater,dome light and front / rear work lights the cost was alittle of $2,000.00. Nothing beats sitting in it nice and warm when I'm snowblowing. In the summer I take off the doors, this is the second cab I've had from Curtis (bx2200) and have been very happy with the quality.
