Tractor
Kubota L3000
I have a Kubota L3000DT, 6 months old with 44 hours on it.
Today I removed the rear blade so I could use a small trailer I have to move some stuff.

Apon returning to the barn about 2 hours later I backed into the barn lined up with the rear blade so I could put it on in case of snow.

When I moved the draft control lever to drop the 3PH it was aready in the lowered position. Moving the handle to make the 3PH move up or down did nothing. I can grab the lift arm and pick to whole 3PH up and down with little effort.

I checked the linkage on the draft control arm it moves all the way into the transmisson housing. Any thoughts?

Randy, do you have a FEL on your tractor? I did'nt see it mentioned in your profile. Don't move it around anymore at this point till we can figure this out!!!!!!

Randy, I think KubMech may be thinking the same thing I am, since he asked whether you have a FEL./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif I've never had it happen on my B2710, but with my B7100 a couple of times I had the same problem. Scared me the first time until I wiggled the FEL joystick and then my 3-point hitch worked fine. Apparently, at least on that model, the joystick can be not centered completely, yet close enough that the FEL wasn't moving, yet the 3-point hitch wouldn't raise until the joystick was properly centered.

Yes I have a FEL. It appears to work properly. The tractor is parked in the barn where it will stay until I find out what's up.

Thanks for the help

Called the dealer this morning, the mechanic asked me to check to make sure all the hydraulic qucik disconnects are connected. He mentioned that sometimes one of these gets hit by a piece of brush or something that disconnects the coupling but it may still look like it is together.

If that is not the problem they will have to come and take it to the shop.

He also mentioned that the FEL valve body gets the oil flow first then passes it to the 3PH lift cylinder, so if there is something wrong with the FEL the 3PH can be affected.

Disconnected all the quick disconnects to the FEL and reconnected them again, tried the 3PH again no movement.

Next step is up to the dealer.

If the loader's working good then the power beyond coupler is hooked up. Hope your 3PH hitch rod did'nt break. But for now treat it like it has. Could be some parts laying near the differential and ring and pinion.

Thanks for your help. I think it is time for the dealer to come and carry the tractor back to where it can be fixed.

I am considering asking if they would perform the 50 hour service while they have it, I have 45 hrs. now. If they do the service there should be not contention whether the service was done correctly or not.
