3pt bleeding down

Need some help please. The 3pt on my JD2320 bleeds down over night without anything attached. This tractor only has 200 hrs on it and has never done this before. If I have something attached to the 3pt (tractor is not running), it will leak down a lot faster. If I close the control knob under the seat the 3pt will stay up. Is this a problem with the control valve, or is there a seal somewhere else I should check? Any ideas on where or how to fix this?

Just about all 3pt systems will leak down. As the seals wear, the more leakage

When the lever goers to neutral, the system should lockup in a perfect system.

It is all in the quality of the valves used in the tractors. My LS holds everything indefinitely (at least as long as I have let it set is 3 months) but on my Kubota backhoe, everything leaks down overnight or at most 2 days. Even the outriggers fall a few inches in a couple of days. I havent really checked the Kubota FEL since I always put it on the ground when I stop.

I believe my BX25 has a hand wheel so I can regulate how fast the 3 pt
drops. I was reading the manual a couple days ago and it says that you
can turn it all the and lock it in the up posistion / I assume in any posistion.

Maybe check your manual?

The descent/lock knob is designed to increase or decrease the rate of drop for the 3pt.

It is also used to lock the 3pt system for transport. If it leaks with the 3pt lever in neutral, then the seals on the 3pt piston need attention.

There is no guarantee that even with new seals the 3pt will work like new, but it should be better than doing nothing.
