3pt hitch on John Deere 3038E

We have a JD 3038E we purchased new three years ago that has been operating fine until about 4 weeks ago when we the mower deck. We can adjust all the way up but if we park the lever anywhere but full up the hitch arms lower all the way down. Any one had this or similar problem? we checked fluid level and changed both hydrolic filters.

on my 4105 there is an adjustment. I had to remove the lift arm from the bar that goes to the thrust block valve. Once I did that, there was a nut that can be tightened. There are 4 disc spring that keep the tension tight.
