I have had my leveling arm break twice now where the threaded rod attaches to the clevis at the arm. I welded it up and it lasted for years, but has broken again. Does anyone know of a leveling arm with the crank handle that will fit in place of my arm? I have not found one looking online. None of them look like they would attach at the top.

Sister a short piece of rebar and weld it again (same as splint), can even use two pieces of rebar. I would use a side grinder and flatten the mating area of the rebar and what ever is left out of the threaded rod. In mine the threads spun out and was lose. I ended up welding it level with the opposite side and yet to fail me. what I suggested to you was my plan B.

Thanks for the idea. My weld lasted over five years so it didn’t do bad.

I couldn’t believe when I looked up a new one on Messicks, over $500. It was over $100 just for the section that broke.

Yup, it is just not worth it. I think it is a better investment to weld it up level and use HF quick attach to pick most of the stuff up..

I like side grinder with a cut off wheel. Might want to take a 6 inch piece of 3//4" Dia steel pipe, cut it in 1/2 lengthwise as it is not very difficult. Then you can uses two sides and sandwich it over the threaded rod and weld it in several passes nice and thick. I would make sure to clean and remove all grease and grime off first using some solvent and a wire brush on side grinder. That probably would be real solid.

Weavers Compact Tractor parts sells crank adjustable side links. They have two or three versions, not sure if one will work with the dimensions of your tractor. I bought one for my 790, and it's been great. Best part is I can adjust it from the seat.

Well, welding it and it still being adjustable isn’t going to work. My son was using it while I was at work so I didn’t get a good look at it until now. It didn’t break at my weld at the clevis, it broke further up in the threaded area.

Welding skills 1, threaded area 0.

Is the quick hitch adjustable at all? I always have to adjust when swapping from my mower to my box blade.

Quick attach, may not work with all your implements. My home made boom lift is wider than quick attach. Saying that and it perfectly matches my brush hog and carry all that is my two constantly used implements. Just need to just go under the implement pins and lift. Not very easy , but you can sway it right and left from the seat using a small crow bar or something. It has been a very good $100 I spent.
