I have an American MSR splitter for my 990. However I run it with a 20gpm PTO pump. This allows me to run the tractor at lower RPM and still have good perfomance with the splitter. I have been happy with this setup, and am glad I did not power the splitter with the tractor hydraulics. I'm afraid it would have been painfully slow. (8 or so gpm)
