Howdy folks. Been looking at post hole diggers for my Mahindra 1626. Found the County Line brand (Tractor Supply as I’ve come to know). Actually made the purchase of that brand (and a 9” auger). Checked on my order today, says it’s canceled. Called the store, got their absolute best moron on the phone, she bluntly says “yeah, we don’t have that in stock, so it got canceled”.

Bottom line, what other brands do we have out there for these? I have to say, I’m not interested in buying anything from TSC again. I can only imagine what kind of service I’d get if I had a warranty issue!

Huh thats strange ? When you ordered it did they ask you if its use was for north of the equator or south of the equator ?
Maybe they were looking up the wrong one ? :scratchchin:

When you get yours check your gearbox oil , most of them come shipped bone dry . ;)

Lol....I ordered it online. The online order gave me the option of free curb side pickup at the store for the auger (which I opted for), and I had to pay for the same-day shipping for the post hole digger itself. I placed this order yesterday @ 14:30 EST.

Check my order today at 13:00 EST, both items show “canceled”. I called the store to verify, the rest is history.

Have you checked if any for sale on CL or FB ??? ................
I think not sure the going price new complete like from TSC or Rural King might be around $650 w/auger . If me I'd order a 9" auger to start also .

TSC here has one on the yard. We have 3 stores within 45 miles and they all stock at least one or more. The issue most likely is due to sales, they can't get them shipped in from China. I would bet you can get one from Anything attachments.

This! Got a Bushhog 2120(?), rated for up to 24" holes, with an 18" auger and 12" extension, it was used for one medium size pole barn build for 2/3 the price of TSC's light duty PHD.

I wish I could use a post hole driller, but I just do not have the soil for it.

The one I have goes both forward and backwards, so if it gets jammed i can reverse it, but honestly the ground is just too rocky here. I know people that get them want them because they are a cheaper alternative then backhoes, but that is how I dig post holes now. It just ends up being faster and the hole goes exactly where I want, and not kind-of-where I want because of a rock.

But I understand the cost. Even if a person has the wrong soil, backhoes are expensive.
