Now let me preface this with , I don't have a sub or even a cut yet but this may be of interest to some anyway. I often have a problem when trying to use my box blade with the top link being too long ,when I want to just rip I can't get the rippers themselves to dig very deep or when I want to loosen but not drag my driveway gravel it's a pita, so on and so forth. So since my work involves chain binders I am used to being creative with them, I figured out that if you take a screw type binder cut the hooks off it is at it's (safe) longest length almost the same size as my normal top length is at it's shortest, holes are the right size too, plus it's adjustable . And you talk about being able to raise a 3pt. implement high for cleaning or maintenance, understand you have to be safe in whatever you do around all machines especially 3pt and pto and anything in the air (gravity is constant but not always friendly)
