I had an old receiver hitch off of one of my trucks laying around, so I cut it up and turned it into a trailer hitch for the Kubota. I'm thinking with a little extra trussing, I can build a small subsoiler that will slip in the hitch. I basically plan on running electrical wire into the ground with the subsoiler, so it doesn't need to be too big, just to get the wire deep enough. Thoughts?

I did the same thing with a hitch off a Ford Explorer. Works great. You are right though about the extra trussing for ground engagement. I pull shrubs with mine using a 3' chain and doing both a lift and pull at the same time and I am sure without the extra trussing I would have broken it.

Building one was one of my first projects after getting my welder. Can not believe how handy they are as far as pulling bushes, dragging logs around, pulling vehicles out of the mud, you can even move trailers with them.

I like that Kenny, pretty much exactly what I was thinking. What did you use for your tooth, looks like one out of a BB?

I also built mine out of a hitch from a 3/4 ton truck. I flipped it over to gain a little extra height with my last tractor. This tractor is just enough higher that I am thinking of flipping it back right side up. Maybe I'll paint it then too:D

Bingo:thumbsup: It's a replacement ripper tooth for a KK box blade from TSC.

Nice. Tell me how effective the unit is in laying wire underground. How deep will it go? I have several hundred feet of runs I need to make, and this unit would save me a ton of time on the BH.
