looking for plans for a 3pt wood splitter. does anyone have any. thanks.

If you can copy a basic design without plans check out this innovative dual acting design:

The ram is inside 2 nesting square tubes. The outer tube has stops at each end and a slot for the blade. The inner tube carries the blade and traverses back and forth.

Here's a link I found in a search.
It's from 1979 and says you can build a 3ph version for around $250.

That's pretty slick.

When I built my log splitter a few years ago, a friend of mine gave me a book entitled 'Split Decisions', written by Lon Tenny. It contains everything you ever wanted to know about building a log splitter, just short of actually laying out any plans. It is a good read.
