This weekend was spent adding a WR Long 3rd Function Hydraulic Valve (VK12) and Everything Attachments' 55" root grapple (wicked-55) to my 2006 Massey Ferguson MF1540, with the MF1525 Loader.
While I intended to install the valve myself, the $115 install price from White's Tractor Company, and the cold rainy weather, changed my mind
What I did instead was observe and take pictures of key steps of the install that were unclear in the instructions, and might be of help to others.
The instructions provided were pretty straightforward, but did have a couple of areas that would benefit from pictures.
In addition to the valve, my tractor required a dealer-supplied Diverter plug and o-ring (Part #s SL103119 and SL103143)
1) The 2006 Massey Ferguson MF1540 / 1525

2) Inside the right-rear tire is the access panel to the loader valve. Tires can be a challenge to remount but removing it made working in that tight space very easy.

3) The Diverter plug (SL103119) installed on top of the valve. Replaces an existing plug.

4) Tool shows location of "hexhead" plugs, removed to attach hoses. Note the angle of the hose fittings.

5) Shows the control valve mounted. I wanted to show how he routed the "red" power wire back through the control wire casing, where he sliced an opening to allow routing under floor to fuse box. Very clean mounting and protects this wire. Notice the wires are in the front of the valve and exposed. Last pics show my protective cover...

6) Control handle on joystick. Angled to allow thumb control. Hard to see, but the control wires are wrapped from the handle to the joystick boot. Again, a nice clean job...

7) The hardest part of the install was mounting the quick-connect valves. No obvious place on this tractor, still, we ended up with a solid mount.

8) Last two pics are showing the protective cover I added. The valve sits outside the tractor and exposed to branches. I do mostly trees and brush, and wanted to protect this part.

Well, that was my weekend. Hope this helps Gary
