Three days ago, everything worked perfectly. Yesterday, disconnected the grapple run by the valve, used the bucket for awhile, reattached the grapple, and blew a fuse when I tried to open the jaws. The jaws lifted about two inches. Replaced the fuse, ran through a dozen or so open/close cycles and all seemed happy. Then it farted out again.

Hoping a wire wore through and shorted things, I inspected the wires... No problems. I'm assuming the problem is somewhere in the valve and am hoping there is an easy fix. Any advice out there? Am I looking at a valve replacement?

Thanks!

You can check the valve for good spool operation.

You should be able to get a new solenoid from the dealer.

You might have a manual way to test the valve. Look on the end of the solenoid and see if there is a plunger you can push to test the spool operation.

Measure the coil resistance and see if it is correct. Compare it to the other solenoid.
