- International 1066 Full sized JCB Loader/Backhoe and a John Deere 430 to mow with
I was going to ask this in my oil thread....but it's a different question and I didn't want someone who might know the answer to pass by since it would have been buried in oil....
So, I have this (new to me) IH-1066. It has what I believe to be TWO remotes on the rear. Two "pair" as each one has an upper and lower.
I have a 15' batwing (Terrain King) that is hydraulically powerred. It has a pump that attaches to the PTO verses a shaft.
Aside from that, it's plumbed so that each wing would attach to a valve and each wing could be independently raised if need be. This means the third hose for height.... is dormant.
Prior owner said he adjusted mower to "fit" his farm & tractor and just forgot about the height adjustment.
Perhaps that will end up being the best answer for me, I don't know. What I'm wondering is how difficult would it be to add a third lever & remote to this tractor?
Or.... would there be (pardon my expression) a "block" that I could use like a splicer. I could then plug both wings into it and the other end into tractor, giving me one lever controlling both wings BUT, if I ever wanted to go back to independent wings, I could remove the "Y" adapter and just plug directly into tractor.
I can see some benefits of having independent wings.....and I can see the benefit of having height adjustment too. Right now, It seems it's either....or.... but not both.
Thoughts?
