4 in 1 Bucket

4n1 buckets are not availible from all manufactures, but you can get a 4n1 for about anything you want from a 4n1 manufaturer such as W.R. Long. I have installed quite a few 4n1's, on different tractors, they make them to fit your loader, or skid steer style, as far as hydraulics go, the easiest way is a electric valve that switches between one loader funtion to the 4n1, just plugs into 1 set of quick couplers(usually the curl/dump) and some electrical wiring and your good to go, or you can plumb in a 3rd valve. If you interested in more info or pricing, drop me a e-mail.

If your buying a new tractor at the same time order the 4in1 up front... mine cost $1,200 when ordered with the tractor (installed, extra hookups etal) /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif... more than $3,000 if I decided to order it later.
Either way it is worth every penny, you just keep finding new uses for it.

My dealer wants $4,500 if purchased new with the tractor /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif!!

It did not matter if it was with a Kubota or a New Holland.

I also did not give this dealer a return call. I am hoping I can do better elsewhere.

To the Board and Moderator: My first post on this great site. What a knowledgeable and respectful group.

Yooperdave,

I agree with the others on the 4 in 1 benefits and would add that the fully opened bucket extends the reach of your loader to push or pull. Say you wanted to push a load over an embankment but didn't want the new tractor to go with it. Opening the jaw and uncurling the 4 in 1 until its about flat will reach further than the regular bucket lip. Furthermore, if you uncurl it a little more without sacrificinfg too much reach, you can see the load by looking between the jaws. With a regular bucket you're blind. Its suprising how often this comes up. Like loading a wide trailer from the side, getting it full on your side, then pushing the load to the other side and continue loading your newfound space.

I have a 7 foot 4n1 bucket on my 4wd JD 5410 and it is a very handy tool. I have had it for a couple of years now without any problems. I bought it from W.R. Long and installed it myself. It cost about $1400 including freight if I remember right. I have used it with the bucket open as a dozer and it will cut and push dirt & gravel pretty good. I have a tooth bar mounted on the bucket edge and you can really bust up and move alot of dirt. It is also handy to pick up things with such as logs, boulders, stumps and such. The unit I have is very well made and if you use your fel alot I would recommend one.
I also have the TnT setup on the back and these two systems make this tractor a lot of fun to use and very productive. This combination will spoil you rotten!!
