Hello all, I been looking for a tractor for a while now, it looks like later on this year I might be able to buy one. I am looking at a PT 425 money will be tight but a mower 48", forks, mini hoe, and snow blade are on the list of things to get. Is the 4 in 1 bucket worth the money? We have alot of landscaping to do as well as moving downed trees and digging up some cut stumps.

Thanks

KC

Your list of selected attachments is good. If you can afford to get the 4 n 1 and the 10cu mulch bucket you will have the best for your needs now and the future. I ended up going to Tazwell to test out the different attachcments prior to buying. I had my mind set on the 10cu and the 5cu buckets. After testing out the 4 n 1 there was no contest. This did all the 5cu bucket can do plus much more. The 4 n 1 has become my primary bucket of choice for digging, lifting, and in general all the hard bucket work. I don't use the clam shell as much as I do the digging but this will come into play this spring when I start moving dead branchs around for burning. I'm sure many others have put thier 4 n 1 to better use. My feeling was that for the extra money the 4 n 1 was a better value for future needs.

I considered the 4 in 1, but decided that the Grapple Bucket was more useful for ME doing landscaping, and forest cleanup.

The Grapple Bucket is a HD 5cf bucket with rock teeth and upper jaws added. It can be used for digging, gathering and moving brush piles, grabbing and lifting logs, etc. It just seems more versatile for landscaping. The 4 in 1 is better for loading material and spreading crushed stone. It is more difficult to reach down and grab a log than to scoop it up and lock it in with the top jaw.

Last weekend, while moving logs at my neighbor's sawmill, I easily scooped up a fresh cut oak log nearly 2' X 16', and loaded it on his mill rack. I couldn't have done this with a 4 in 1.

Just visualize what jobs YOU want done and select the tool to best do it for YOU!

I have a 4 in 1 and it has been some of the best $$$$ I have ever spent on my tractor. I could not imagine not having one now.

I opted for a 4N1 bucket for my tractor and am glad I did. It's versatility really makes it worthwile. Can't imagine not having it on the front now.
