I was liking it, but it doesn't look like you have a bed when the back seats are in place.

Yep....this is true....but you can flip the seats down and have a bed....in just a few seconds. The deal is that you have a SHORT WHEEL BASE vehicle to keep maneuverability......and sitll can carry 4 passengers when you want / need to. If you want room for rear passengers AND a bed.....you will need a longer wheelbase vehilcle. Or maybe the Kawa with 3 across the front bench (wider)?
I do not think very many of these will be discounted much to start with. The demand is high and you are lucky to find one at present. Maybe if you wait.....but I would also bet that the price could go up a bit. $11,700 for a 4 place machine is pretty reasonable these days.
Steering was pretty easy in my limited test drive. I think most of these vehicles do not have an unlocking rear diffy. I dont think you will tear up much if you take it easy in sensative areas.
Honda does think this stuff thru.....I'm pretty certain most of these fears dont amount to much. I like what I have seen. will get mine in a few days and can post better after that. Of course.....I dont drive mine on my lawn.
I'm putting in a glass windsheidl and a full top. Also a heater. May add some doors after I drive it a bit. I'm in MN......so this stuff helps when driving on the ice or hunting in winter, etc.

I looked at the Deere Gator 4 seaters...saw a Polaris Ranger 4 seater when I buying a used rotary cutter from a local NH/Polaris dealer.
Although I had no need or intention of buying a 4-seater, I was thinking (to myself) how easy they would high-center.

I love the looks of the Pioneer 4. Its great that they engineered the seats into the box so neatly. Hat's off to Honda!
Glad to see them back in the game, good things and more competition will come from it.
To answer an earlier question, SOME of the UTV's do have open rear differentials. The Gator 825i and the Rhino used to, may still have it. the Gator has limited slip rear, with a lockup feature you can pull on, then four wheel drive push button. In 2wd it steers really sharp and never leaves a mark on the lawn or trail.

I'm wondering if you ended up purchasing a UTV or not, and if so, which one? I thought I remembered reading that you bought a RZR, but then I just reread this thread and I didn't see anything about it.
I have also wanted a UTV for quite a while now, and never thought much of the 4 seaters since I never needed one. Now that I'll have 2 kids, I'd like to be able to take them along but the long wheelbase of the crew cab style side by sides aren't an option for me. Curious what you went with or if your still looking.
I've read quite a few reviews online regarding the new Pioneer, sounds like it will be a good seller for Honda. I'm having a hard time NOT buying one right now!

Don't think you'd regret it. The more I drive mine the more I like it.

How long have you had the P4? I see your in Utah, probably one of the best places for something like that! Are you anywhere near the La Sal's?
