The dealer wanted $200 for a JD bed liner and the local spray in liners are $225 for the bed and floorboards. I just bought a 4'x6' horse stall mat at TSC which is 5/8" thick solid rubber and will cut it to fit the bed. I will lay it in the bed so it is removeable. I may take some of the leftover material and bolt it to the tailgate. The mat will give me a sturdy, removeable non skid surface. It will also be easier on the knees and legs of little kids riding in the back. Before the safety police start after me, the speed will be barely above idle for a bunch of 4-5 year olds.
I realize the side walls are still going to get scuffed, but the $40 cost seemed good. I can buy a bunch of touch up paint for the money saved.
