40 inch deck wheel size

On my GT2544, I have a 44 inch (3 blade) deck. The front "wheels" on the deck are worn down and shot. I cross referenced them, and came up with 5" diameter wheels..I was skeptical, so just ordered 1 of them, and put it on..it seems SO LARGE compared to the one on the other side. I know it's worn down, but it doesn't look like the old one was ever 5 inch diam. Can anyone confirm what the correct wheel size is?

Looks like it calls for the 734-04155 deck wheel which is 5 inch. But also looks like it has a 44 inch deck not a 40

Also it appears that the L015 mfg date code and before calls for a 753-04856A

Yeah it's a 44 inch deck. But the front wheels are definitely NOT 5 inch. The back wheels are 5 inch, but I measured one of the old ones I am replacing and it's closer to 3.75" or 4" in diameter. Here's a few photos:

as you can see from this image the rear 5 inch wheel IS larger than the original front wheel

this image shows a new 5 inch front wheel I THOUGHT was correct, but it's TOO large!

Yeah im pretty sure those arent the correct replacement wheels. Have you looked on parts tree for replacement deck wheels for your model?

yep, I have and everywhere I look it says they are 5 inch "roller wheels" and I bought 1 to check and the 5 inch are just too large for the front of the deck..the old original one that I show in the photo is around 3.25" and I can't imagine it is just from wear and tear that it was originally a 5 inch.

I looked through my aftermarket parts catalog, and almost everything is a variation of a 5 inch wheel. did find this 4 inch wheel that you may want to look at.
