4010 50 hr service; what isn\'t told
My 4010 owner's manual leaves out some critical information concerning the 50 hour service. These will probably be the same for you 2210 owners.
Fuel filter: you have to remove the 12 mm bolt that holds the filter bowl assembly to the frame. THEN, you can easily get to the ring holding the fuel bowl in place with channel locks to get it off. Replace just finger tight. The owner's manual tells you nothing about having to remove the bolt. Otherwise, you can't get to the ring with any kind of wrench. A tap with a punch did not loosen the ring.
Hydraulic filter: The owner's manual says NOTHING about having to remove the bar that holds the tractor end of the draft arms and turnbuckles. Also, to remove this bar, you must remove a rear wheel. THEN, you have room to extract the hydraulic filter. Of course, you have to remove any implement on the 3 pt first. This bar is right in front of the plate holding the hydraulic filter in place.
The bolts holding the filter plate in place are also 12 mm. There were NO magnets to be found, just the filter.
I was able to lift one rear wheel with a regular hydraulic automotive floor jack underneath the drawbar plate. My handy Farmhand impact wrench took the bolts off easily, and putting them on at the 2nd setting on it was almost exactly 81-96 ft-lb of torque.
50 hour service is all done now, good for another 200 hours now.
