First time poster, been lurking around for about a week.

Hi folks,

I have been looking at new tractors for about a month now. I thought I had settled on a Kubota L3200 HST/FEL, then I moved to a Kubota L3800 HST/FEL, then yesterday I looked a Mahindra 4035 PST/FEL and the little pecker stood straight up. Man, I like that tractor but it poses two problems. First it blew my budget by about 3K. I feel like the dealer is giving me a good price on the tractor so I am trying to work this out some how. My second problem is the weight of the tractor. I need to haul this thing about 20 miles every six to eight weeks to move targets at my gun clubs sporting clay course and do some maintenance on the roads. I already have three 7 x 16 trailors that I use for work. They are dual 3500 lb axle trailors but I am not sure they are enough for the 4035 since it is weighting in at 5652 lbs with the loader. I am already blowing my budget if I go for the tractor but I definately don't need to buy another trailor just to haul the tractor.

What the h*ll should I do? I looked at a 4010 HST online which is lighter weight but none of the dealers in my area have one I can look at and the 3535 is basically the same weight as the 4035.

First of all welcome..:welcome: Second only you can decide what is right for you. What else will you be doing with the new toy...UHH I mean tractor ?Heavy grading ,front loader work etc..you will be happy with the added weight.Plus the five year warranty is hard to beat.
Enjoy the toy's

:welcome: I have a 4035 with 270 hours on it now with no issues. I absolutely love the tractor. I agree with Seaneastok. You should sit down and figure out what you will be doing the most with your investment. If you are going to be handling heavy material, loading the rear tires or a ballast box is a must. The 4035 will hold 450-500 lbs of ballast per tire, this may put you over your limit for hauling. The 3535 is the same tractor as the 4035 except for tires and injector pump settings. Another thing to consider is what future attachments are you planning on getting? Don't be in a rush for the first one regardless of brand. Dealer support, warranty, and parts availability in your area are important too. Shop around and get some seat time at the dealers. It's amazing how quickly the prices drops if a dealer thinks your going to go somewhere else. JMO. Good Luck!
