4044M hydraulic connections

I've got a mechanical tree planter that is a bit bigger than I want to hitch to my "little" 400 so we rented a tractor from sunbelt. We booked a 29hp but got a 49hp.

The tree planter was borrowed from the local DNR and has no markings and we got little to no instruction. It looks like the model 5200 here: R.A. Whitfield Manufacturing Co. Products except its blue.

It has hydraulic hoses for raising and lowering the plow but I am not sure on where to connect them on the rental tractor, a deere 4044m. The hoses look like they might be long enough to reach the middle of the tractor if need be. The tractor does have an FEL mounted so some connections are in use.

Can anybody help me out? I posted in the hydraulics section but didn't get any answers. We plan on starting in about 2 hours!

Should be obvious where the hyd. connections are on the rental.. or you should ask at the rental place. Chances are there is not a 3rd SCV and may have to remove the FEL to make use of the 2 taken up by the FEL.

What trees are you planting, as this is very late in the year to be planting seedlings.. especially southern IL. Just curious..

Sorry I didn't get back here before the project began. The tractor didn't have any optional scv's just the "power beyond". Loader wasn't a quick detach so hardlines for it. The planter only had a single line that went straight from a hand pump the the cylinder, no return. It did have a quick coupler at the pump end so you could run straight from cylinder to tractor. We ended up going manual as it didn't look like we had a good way to use the hydro. A bit more work but it wasn't too bad.

Trees were a mix of shagbark hickory, black oak and pecan. We couldn't plant any earlier due to all the rain this fall. Hopefully enough will take to qualify for the property tax break!
