The builder and crew are great, all they do is build pole barns, they said it's a 7 day build, I'll feel better when the sun comes out and things dry up,

That's a really good looking barn, not nearly as cheap-looking as a lot of pole barns, it looks more like a stick-framed building. I'm trying to figure out the framing from the pictures. It looks like a pole every 8 feet, poles are 3 2x6's built up with pressure treated below ground and untreated over. A 2x6 stud every 2' between poles and 2x4 girts and purlins. Trusses on 24" centers. Sound about right?

Impressive looking building. I've never seen studs installed like that on the purlins, between the posts. Will you be pouring concrete?

The girts are treated 2x8's and the purlins are 2x6's,but your correct on everything else.

Thanks eddie,The contractor said he's been installing studs on the purlins for years,I can't think of any negitives with that and
I asked the foreman where the bottom treated plate is and he said the top of the finished concrete floor is will be about a half inch below the studs so it's not needed,I'm not happy with that answer and will be talking to the contractor,Any thoughts ?

Yeah, that is curious about the studs -- what are they meant to be supporting? I suspect they are just there to stiffen the walls against wind loads, but that seems to be overkill to me and will only stiffen in one dimension. Very curious. Sure is a lot of extra lumber.

It looks like they are there to assist with insulation and indoor wall covering...?
