Dealer Quoted

4100 Hydro + FEL w/ filled R4 tires $15,900
54" MMM $1625

How's the price?

Hazmat,

You should be able to do better than that since the 4100 is not in production anymore.

Geez, I just thought about it and I got the following for ~$16.5k

4100HST R4s
54" MMM
FEL with 60 inch bucket.
4 suitcase weights
58" Landpride Tiller

The tiller was $1500 so I would think that the dealer may be $1.5 to $2k to high to be on the conservative side.

Now, if you were to walk in with your checkbook in hand and sign a contract, would that be his last price.

Also, did you like the dealership?

I've been shopping around too. Have you compared the price to other comparable brands (blue & orange)? I found that when a dealer found out that I was talking to other dealers, their pencils got a lot sharper /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif!

The 4100 HST w/R4s and the DSCV should sell for just under $12,000. A very good price would be $11,650.

Get the base tractor price first then ask the dealer to price the FEL, MMM, and fill the tires. If he doesn't want to itemize or allow you to build step by step, take a drive to another dealer. You won't regret it in the long run.

Thanks for all the replys. I didn't walk in with checkbook in hand. This was the no negotiation, "How much does it cost?" quote. I thought it was a bit high. I did like the dealer and he is the closest one. Haven't made a final decision as to which tractor yet (or gotten permission the the Boss). The 4100 and TC 21D are the top runners. The Kubota is in a somewhat distant third (no operator presence safety system)

Hazmat, I went through the same thing that you are now, about 3-6 months ago. I didn't get a price on the FEL at the time for the 4100, but with a 60" MMM the price was $14,200. I also got a price on a Kubota 7500 at the same time of $12,450 with a 60"MMM, and $14900 with MMM, and FEL. New Holland Prices were between those two with the TC21D being $13450 with a 60"MMM, and $16200 with a MMM & FEL. These price came from dealers in Central PA. Also got a price on Cub Cadet 7205 with 60" MMM of $16,185. Much higher than everyone else. I was lucky to find a used TC21D, and bought that tractor. I posted to your New Holland post too. Good Luck. Kent

Hazmat, I was quoted 15,500 for a 4100 w/HST 410 loader, 60" MMM r-4 tires. Dealer told me price was good till the end of the month. (Feb). Getting ready to pull the trigger on a Kubota B-2410 with the same options.
