My two neighbor and I each have tractors and we both kind of trade implements. Instead of us buying the same things. It works out pretty good.

I have been looking for a rotary sweeper to put on my loader for de-thatching my lawn. My uncle does that and it works great. Problem is, money, it is expensive no matter how you do it. The hydraulic fluid cooler is what is expensive on it. I was looking at sweepster.

But my neighbor has a JD 4100 that already has the front blade and front snowblower. Does John Deere make a sweeper for that front attachment that would be less expensive and uses the mid PTO?

Yoou best check with Deere, but they make a broom (sweeper) that fits the 4000 series, uses the mid PTO, and I believe includes the 4100 as well. A slight hassle in that the belly mower (MMM) must be removed, including the mower lift brackets, to slip the PTO shaft on going to the broom (sweeper). Not having that Sweepsters' hyd. oil cooler tank for "ballast" on the front end would be a plus. I have been looking at the broom for my 4300, but no decision yet.
