Hi, I was hoping someone could help with this issue. I had to tear down the right hand 4x4 hub to replace some sheared off bolts for the drag link. I have both the service manual and an exploded diagram I acquired from the New England Tractor web site. I know I reassembled everything correctly and have gone back over my work to verify. The front is on blocks and both wheels are off of the ground. Here is the problem....the manual says the hub should spin freely and I do not believe it is. I have not put the wheel back on yet. The left hand side still has the wheel on it and spins smoothly. The side I am working on only spins freely when I have a jack under the hub to apply some upward pressure. With out the jack it does not spin smoothly. Without the jack applying upward pressure the joint where the upper assembly rests on the lower assembly is about 1/8 of and inch wider than the same joint on the other wheel. At first I thought I had missed something during assembly but going by the diagrams and what notes I made during disassembly everything is in place. I am sure the tractor would be fine once the wheel is back on and resting on the ground but my concern is if the wheels come off of the ground when I am using the loader.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
Thanks
