4110 Cold weather NO POWER

Up until this week my 4110 with 30 hours on it has performed flawlessly in the cold weather. I have plowed in -10 weather , the tractor started perectly and acted fine. I went to plow last night and the tractor started up immediately but when I went to back out of the garage after a 3-4 minute warm up it stalled. It restarted but it has no guts at all , its like it lost 15 HP!!! I can plow but any atempt to maintain speed even with the plow up will cause the tractor to loose rpm and unless I stop and let the rpm climb again it will stall. Seems to be running smoothly . My guess is fuel gelling? but why does it start so easily and even after 1 hour of running it is no better. HELP!!

I think you're on the right track regarding the fuel. Easy to check, it usually gells in the filter. You may be able to put some additive in the filter but it may be easier to just put on a new one. I usually put some additive in my fuel even though it is supposed to be a winter mix already. Good luck.

You need some anti-gel to end your problem we have had good sucess with a product called Power Service and it is priced nicely to be a great value. That is just the way that they work when you have a fuel restriction. You have enough to start and often run at or near an idle but not much more. When you add the additive and they are still running in twenty minutes it's like it wasn't even there! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Brad, my 790 was doing the same exact thing last week and I stopped and bought a 16oz additive at my local dealer for $4.79, now it runs alot better. I would be half way down driveway pushing snow and it would just start to slow, gag,and want to shut down.At first I did'nt know what was up since I'm brand new operator/1st tractor but all is well now.
