Have read many of the threads and would like someone to double check my conclusions if possible. I need to go to an after market oil and hydro filter since my dealer closed up shop shortly after I purchased the tractor.

From comments on the board it would appear my 4110 can use the following oil filters, WIX 51182, NAPA 1324, 1182 or 1311. The hydro filter should be the WIX 51621. I have not located a thread which mentioned a part number for the fuel element or air filter element. Any help there would be much appreciated.

Also perhaps a silly question... Without going into a long story... I have NO confidence in the knowledge of the defunct dealership. There is a tank with a filter under the floor board next to the PTO flow valve. One person at the dealership said that needed to be filled with 80 gear oil as it was independent of the transmission. Another said no, it contains the same hydro fluid as the transmission.

Which is correct ???? At the time of purchase I also purchased the full shop manual and it seems to me the fill point at the rear / axle satisfies the entire hydro system.
PTO, FEL and transmission.

Please help.

BTW - rebuilding / cleaning the PTO valve assembly (to include wiring) does not help with the intermittent PTO non-op problem.

Correct, Wix 51182/Napa 1182 (same filter) is what the motor calls for.
If you are short on space the Napa 1324 is a tad shorter and will work

This one will not work (wrong threads)

I've been using the Napa 1324 engine filter and the Napa 1621 hydraulic filters on my 4110, WIX makes Napa filters and uses the same last 4 numbers for their part numbers. As of last check, about 2 months ago, neither offered the air or fuel filters yet, nor the cartridge hydraulic filter in that "tank" under your floorboard. There is a large paper cartridge filter in there that needs to be changed - this is the power steering filter, and yes, it is all part of the trans./hydraulic system. When you check the dipstick for the trans. at the rear axle, you're checking the whole system and the fill above the hitch covers the whole system as well. This filter should be changed when you change your trans. oil & spin-on filter. My 2002(made in 2001) 4110 also has a metal strainer filter that can be rinsed & blown clean if needed, it is in the left lower side of the trans. housing and is held in place with 1 bolt. After almost 800 hours, mine has never had anything in it to clean out, but I check it anyway while doing the big service. I change my hydraulic filters & oil every 300 hours, except the first one at 50 hours, of course.

Thank you very much for your help. Especially on the hydro system.
